America Dream Trip — 17 October 2011

Kenny golfing at Sand Hollow - Hurricane, UTKENNETH MACIAS – My American Dream is to play the top golf courses in America. For years I’ve read in magazines and online about the Top Courses in America, the Best Public Courses, the Best Courses Under $50, etc. So many great courses, each unique to their natural surroundings. Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines up against the Pacific. Sand Hollow, Black Wolf Run in the desert. Augusta National, Bethpage, Pinehurst, these have all been dreams of mine for years. I started playing golf when I was 18, and played a few rounds a week with my father. We always played our local country club, but on the off chance we travel together, we try and play a round wherever we may be. I want to take a trip with him and my brother and play all of the great courses in America.

Time: One Year
Destinations: Pinehurst, Bethpage, Augusta National, Sand Hollow, Black Wolf Run…
People: My dad and brother
Money: $20k
Transportation: Plane and Rental Car
Goal: To play the best courses in America (and to shoot even par on each one…wishful thinking).
