Carmageddon…really?

So, one of America’s busiest freeways, the 405 located in Los Angeles, is closing down a part of the road for 53 hours this weekend for some much needed repairs. And…we’re calling it the Carmageddon.

Local businesses are all over it. The Wall Street Journal all kinds of promotions businesses are having. The premise of these promotions is, “Since you’re stuck, why not….?” Suggestions include getting your pet photographed, getting a tattoo, taking a “Fly Over the 405” flight from Burbank to Long Beach, or stopping for dinner or drinks at a local establishment.

If you’re calling it the Carmageddon or the Carpocalypse or just a giant pain in the rear, I don’t envy those of you who live in L.A. this weekend. I’d stay on the beach if I were you.
