This is the first MashCon ever, and nobody really knows exactly what to expect. There’ll be some big players in the media market, tons of creative attendees with eyes wide open and ideas flying in all directions. Somebody asked me why I was going or what I wanted to get out of it, and you know, I don’t have an answer to those questions. This is a bit of a leap of faith. I know Mashable has created a great product, and has connections and respect from the techy world and the big media players. I also know that there will be only 300 hand picked attendees, which means that everyone will have a chance to network, interact, and share ideas with each other. I have no doubt that this conference will open up new worlds for the people who play it right. Maybe that’s me. So, what am I really looking for? A lot of really interesting discussions, some ideas for how to better use the available technology, what to look forward to in the near future, and maybe, one or two really good connections that help take me to the next level and beyond.

I really don’t know what to expect, but if you keep your ears open, your eyes searching for the prize, and you put yourself in the middle of good company, then maybe something good might come of it.

To get in the mood for Disney World, I bring to you Disney Paris, in tilt-shift (a video filter that makes everything look small).
